7) Use of customer data for direct marketing
7.1 Subscribe to our email newsletter
When you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. For the newsletter dispatch, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you only receive newsletters after you have explicitly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by clicking on a verification link sent to the provided email address.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent for the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. In this process, we store your IP address registered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later time. The data we collect during the newsletter registration is strictly purpose-bound. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the responsible party mentioned at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list, unless you have explicitly agreed to further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use that is legally permitted and of which we inform you in this statement.
7.2- Newsletter dispatch via rapidmail
The dispatch of our email newsletters is carried out by the technical service provider rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg ("rapidmail"), to whom we pass on the data you provided during the newsletter registration. This transfer is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure, and user-friendly newsletter system. The data you entered for receiving the newsletter (e.g., email address) is stored on rapidmail's servers in Germany.
rapidmail uses this information for sending and statistically evaluating the newsletters on our behalf. For the evaluation, the sent emails contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links may have been clicked. Additionally, with the help of so-called conversion tracking, it can be analyzed whether a predefined action (e.g., purchasing a product on our website) has occurred after clicking the link in the newsletter. Furthermore, technical information is collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in a pseudonymized form and is not linked to your other personal data, ensuring that direct personal identification is excluded. This data is used solely for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
We have entered into a data processing agreement with rapidmail, in which we require rapidmail to protect our customers' data and not share it with third parties.
You can read more about rapidmail's data protection in their privacy policy: https://www.rapidmail.de/datenschutz
7.3 Product availability notification via email
For temporarily unavailable items, you can sign up to receive email notifications about their availability. We will send you a one-time email regarding the availability of the specific item you selected. The only mandatory information for sending this notification is your email address. Providing additional data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. For sending emails, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you will only receive a notification once you have explicitly confirmed your consent by clicking on a verification link sent to the provided email address.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. We will store your IP address recorded by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of your registration to trace any potential misuse of your email address at a later time. The data we collect when you sign up for our email notification service for product availability will be used strictly for that purpose. You can unsubscribe from the availability notifications at any time by sending a message to the responsible party mentioned above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be promptly deleted from our distribution list unless you have explicitly consented to further use of your data or we reserve any further data use that is legally permissible and of which we inform you in this statement.

If you choose the payment method "Apple Pay" from Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment processing is carried out via the "Apple Pay" function of your end device operated with iOS, watchOS, or macOS by charging a payment card stored in "Apple Pay". Apple Pay uses security features integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, it is therefore necessary to enter a code previously set by you as well as verification via the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function of your device.
For payment processing, the information you provided during the ordering process along with the information about your order will be transmitted in encrypted form to Apple. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before transmitting it to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay for processing the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website where the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been processed, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm the success of the payment.
If personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing will only take place for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Anonymization completely excludes any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.
When you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made through Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel on Apple's servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and turn off "Allow Payments on Mac".

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the order process, along with details about your order, will be shared with Google. Google will then transmit your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a one-time transaction number to the originating website, which verifies that a payment has been made. This transaction number contains no information about the actual payment data of your payment methods stored in Google Pay; it is created and transmitted as a uniquely valid numerical token. In all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts solely as an intermediary for processing the payment.
If personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing will only take place for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
The transaction is conducted exclusively between the user and the originating website by charging the payment method stored in Google Pay.

- Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses so-called cookies, which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. Additionally, Google AdSense uses so-called "web beacons" (small invisible graphics) to collect information, allowing simple actions like visitor traffic on the website to be recorded, collected, and evaluated. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of this website is typically transmitted to a Google server and stored there. This may also involve transmission to servers of Google LLC in the USA.
Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior regarding the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google AdSense will not be merged with other Google data. The information collected by Google may be transmitted to third parties if required by law and/or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

- Google Ads Conversion Tracking without Cookies
This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, within the framework of Google Ads, conversion tracking from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use Google Ads' offering to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords). We can determine how successful individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. Our goal is to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you, and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.
This website uses Google Ads conversion tracking exclusively without the use of cookies, which means that the service does not set cookies on your device at any time.
Instead, the local storage of your browser is used to store a unique ID assigned by Google, which allows for an analysis of your use of the website. Specific user information is processed through this ID.
The ID is set when a user clicks on an ad served by Google. If the user visits certain pages of this website, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected in this way is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that would allow for personal identification of users. In the context of using Google Ads, there may also be a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
Details regarding the processing initiated by Google Ads conversion tracking and how Google handles data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
If the collected information has a personal reference, the processing takes place according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the success of our advertising campaigns.

- Google Marketing Platform
This website uses the online marketing tool Google Marketing Platform operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("GMP").
GMP uses cookies to serve relevant ads to users, improve campaign performance reports, or prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Through a cookie ID, Google tracks which ads are served in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. Additionally, GMP can capture so-called conversions related to ad requests using cookie IDs. This occurs when a user sees a GMP ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase through that website. According to Google, GMP cookies do not contain personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the extent and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our knowledge as follows: By integrating GMP, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider learns and stores your IP address. In the context of using GMP, there may also be a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
All the processing described above, especially setting cookies to retrieve information from the device you are using, will only be carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.
